General FAQ's
Bumper feet or rubber feet are small pads or dots that are applied to an item to reduce shock, vibration and noise caused by the contact of two objects. They are ideal for use as cabinet door buffers or as feet for coasters, chopping boards, electronics, glass table tops and exhibits.
You may also have heard bumper feet referred to as rubber feet, bumpons, sticky pads or dots, buffers, dampeners, bumperstops and bumpers.
Self Adhesive bumper feet are an easy, effective way to protect various surfaces from scratches and dents. They can be used on a variety of smooth surfaces, such as marble, metal, granite, ceramic, laminate, tile, glass, plastic and stone.

Self Adhesive bumper feet are designed to be easy to install, with our range simply requiring the user to peel the bumper from the sheet whilst avoiding touching the adhesive backing and then firmly press the feet into place.
We do suggest that you always ensure the surface they are used on is clean, dry and dust free. Ideally they should be applied to a smooth surface. This allows our industrial strength adhesive to create a firm and long lasting bond.
Self adhesive bumper feet the an ideal answer to many problems in various applications, they are both practical and cost-effective. Our rubber feet or buffers offer a number of benefits, including:
Happy Bananas bumper feet are manufactured using high grade Polyurethane and are designed to last for a long time. Generally, they can last many years under normal use and can even outlive the product they are attached to. However, environmental factors such as wear and tear and exposure to the elements can cause them to break down over time.
People often use our feet on chopping boards which are then washed in soapy hot water or the dishwasher. Although we find they tend to still remain in place for a long period of time, it is in applications such as this that you may find their life expectancy is affected.
As we use such a strong adhesive we do not generally recommend removing the bumper feet. Depending on the application it is potentially not easy to remove them without some damage to the surface they are attached to. For example if you remove them from a painted surface or a veneer then they are likely to leave some artificial damage to the surface in question. If removed from glass or tile then you may have more success.
Bumper Feet can not be reused, once removed they must then be disposed of responsibly.
No, our bumper feet are not designed to be used on chair or table legs. Our feet are used to prevent sliding, not to aid it. As chairs or tables are knocked and moved on a daily basis the resistance would eventually cause the feet to come loose. Additionally, since our feet are adhesive-backed, they may not adhere properly to furniture legs, as the type of wood may not be as porous as other surfaces.
For this situation we would suggest looking at a felt solution from British Felt.
Generally, our feet are designed to be soft enough to protect surfaces from scratches, but firm enough to keep items from sliding. Ultimately whether or not the bumpers provide effective cushioning will depend on the weight of the item, and the surface it is placed on.
In general, bumper feet are most effective at providing cushioning for lighter items on hard, flat surfaces. For heavier items such as sofas, fridges and large household appliances an alternative solution may be needed.
